Thank you for your interest in participating as a mentor in the Nashville School of Law Rigorous Writing Exercise.
- Each project is expected to last approximately two years, but the pace is not one that most people would consider arduous.
- Mentors will assist students in developing a topic, refining their outline, reviewing the written work while offering suggestions for improvement, and completing a brief evaluation of a student's work.
- Students are requested to meet several times over the two years with their mentor at a time and location that is convenient for the mentor. Some meetings may be conducted by phone or check-ins may occur via email.
- Students are expected to put 130 hours of time into the project over 24 months. The time for a mentor will be significantly less than that, likely averaging less than an hour a month.
