April 1, 2017 is the statewide HELP4TN Day in which law students and attorneys have the opportunity to participate in pro bono events across Tennessee.
Nashville School of Law will host Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Cornelia A. Clark for a CLE exploring the multiple avenues to become involved in pro bono at any level. The event also will feature representatives from Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee & the Cumberlands and Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services.
This CLE event will provide attorneys with information on points of entry into doing pro bono. Justice Clark will summarize the ethical rules surrounding pro bono work and highlight the Tennessee Faith & Justice Alliance, an initiative of the Tennessee Access to Justice Commission which connects people in need of legal assistance with resources through their place of worship.
Click here to register for this free event, which will be from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1 at the school.
The #HELP4TNDAY initiative is a joint effort by the Tennessee Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission, the Administrative Office of the Courts, Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services, and the Tennessee Bar Association.
